Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally free to marry to use the service. By registering you confirm this is true and that the information you provide is accurate. Parents and brokers registering on behalf of another adult confirm they have that person’s permission.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been compromised. We verify email addresses, and brokers and pandits are approved by our team before their accounts go live.

Acceptable use

Use the service honestly and respectfully. You must not impersonate others, post false, offensive or unlawful content, harass other members, scrape or misuse data, or use the platform for anything other than genuine matrimony introductions. We may remove content, suspend or delete accounts that break these rules or our community standards.

Matches and porutham guidance

MangalaMatch helps you find and contact potential matches. We do not arrange marriages, vet individuals beyond the verification we describe, or guarantee that you will find a match. Any introductions and decisions are your own.

Porutham (jathaka) compatibility scores and any pandit reviews are provided as cultural and astrological guidance only. They are not professional, legal, medical or financial advice, and you should not rely on them as such.

Payments, cancellation and refunds

MangalaMatch is free to use for matchmaking. The only paid product is an optional, on-demand pandit review of a porutham match — a one-off purchase. We also accept optional, voluntary donations to help run the service. There is no subscription, no recurring billing and no automatic renewal: you are only ever charged for a review you choose to buy or a donation you choose to give, at the amount shown before you confirm. Donations are a voluntary contribution to a private business (we are not a registered charity) and are not tax-deductible.

Prices are shown in your local currency and charged in pounds sterling (GBP) at the equivalent rate; your bank may apply its own conversion. Payments are processed securely by Stripe — we never see or store your full card details.

• Before a pandit starts work — you may cancel a pandit review and receive a full refund at any time before a pandit has picked it up.
• After a pandit has started or completed the review — the fee is non-refundable, because the service (the pandit’s time and written assessment) has been delivered.
• Incorrect, duplicate or accidental charges — contact us within 14 days and we will investigate and refund any charge made in error.
• Donations — voluntary donations are non-refundable once made, except where charged in error (contact us within 14 days).

To cancel or request a refund, email support@mangalamatch.com with your account email and the date or receipt of the charge. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method, normally within 5–10 business days. Your receipts are always available in the app under Pandit reviews → Billing & invoices. Nothing here affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

Liability

We provide the service with reasonable care but “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for the conduct of other members, for any matches or relationships formed through the service, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will record a new version date when we do; significant changes will be notified in the app. These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have jurisdiction.
