Law Enforcement Guidelines
These guidelines explain how law enforcement and other authorities can request information from MangalaMatch in connection with MangalaMatch. MangalaMatch is operated from the United Kingdom, and we handle requests in accordance with UK law, including the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.
How to submit a request
Send all law-enforcement requests in writing, on official letterhead or from an official email domain, to support@mangalamatch.com with “Law enforcement request” in the subject line. Include the name and contact details of the requesting officer or authority, the legal basis for the request, the specific data sought, and the account email or identifier it relates to.
Legal process we require
We disclose member data only where we are legally required or permitted to do so. UK authorities should provide valid legal process appropriate to the data requested — for example a court order, a request under Schedule 2 of the Data Protection Act 2018, or other lawful authority. Requests from outside the United Kingdom should be made through a recognised channel such as a Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT), letter of request, or an applicable cross-border agreement.
We review each request for validity and scope, and may decline or seek clarification on requests that are overbroad, vague or not supported by proper legal authority.
What data we may hold
Depending on the account, we may hold basic registration details (name, email, country of residence), the profile information a member provided, limited activity records, and a payment reference. We do not hold full card numbers — payments are processed by Stripe. We keep data only as long as described in our Privacy Policy, so older records may no longer be available.
Data preservation
If you need data preserved while you obtain legal process, send a preservation request to support@mangalamatch.com. Where we are able, we will preserve a snapshot of the relevant available account records for an initial period of 90 days, extendable on a further request.
Emergency disclosure
In an emergency involving an imminent risk of death or serious physical harm, we may disclose information without legal process where the law permits. Mark such requests “Emergency disclosure request” in the subject line to support@mangalamatch.com and explain the nature and immediacy of the risk.
Notice to our members
Our policy is to notify affected members of requests for their information before we disclose it, so they can seek to protect their rights — unless we are legally prohibited from doing so (for example by a court order), or where we believe notice would create a risk to someone’s safety or to an investigation.
Costs and contact
We do not charge for responding to valid requests in most cases, but may recover reasonable costs where the law allows. For any question about these guidelines, contact support@mangalamatch.com.
